Each June, our retired flag collection wraps up just in time for Flag Day on June 14, a time to reflect on the history, symbolism, and sacrifices our nation’s flag represents. It’s humbling to help our community retire their worn flags with honor and dignity, and we thank everyone who participates in this important effort. But just as we close one chapter, we open another, one filled with flaky crusts, sweet fillings, and whipped cream on top. That’s right… it’s time to talk about pie.

At our markets, you’ll find all kinds: seasonal fruit pies made with locally grown berries and stone fruits, cream pies filled with fresh custards, and savory pies that showcase meats, cheeses, and herbs from our local producers.
