Shop Small Market is a Long Family Markets Foundation initiative created to give local small and microbusinesses an opportunity to connect directly with the community.
Presented in partnership with local organizations and community events, Shop Small Market creates welcoming spaces where people can discover businesses, products and services from right here in our region.
Different from the Farmers Market
Shop Small Market is designed to expand opportunities beyond our traditional farmers markets.
Participating businesses may include local makers, artisans, food businesses, service providers and other small businesses that contribute to the diversity of our local business community.
This allows us to support a broader range of entrepreneurs while keeping Long Family Markets farmers markets focused on agriculture, local food and carefully curated products.

Long Family Markets Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization working to strengthen community through education, engagement and participation.

Shop Small Market opportunities are separate from regular Long Family Markets farmers market participation. Application requirements and availability may vary by event.

Payments
All participating businesses accept cash and most accept credit/debit cards.
Parking
Parking is free in the commuter lot where the market is held, with accessible parking spaces available right next to the market. Please drive slowly and watch for pedestrians, especially our youngest shoppers.
Pets
Pets are welcome at Shop Small Market! Please keep them leashed and under your control, and be mindful of other shoppers and the businesses’ displays.
Because Shop Small Market is a special community market rather than a farmers market, Stafford County’s farmers market pet ordinance does not apply. Please note that dogs are still not permitted to walk through our Sunday Stafford Farmers Market.

Shop Small Market brings together local makers, artisans, food businesses, service providers, and other small businesses for one special day. Check back closer to the event for a list of participating businesses.
Shop Small Stafford
Shop Small Stafford is a Stafford County initiative celebrating local businesses during Small Business Saturday. Stafford-based businesses and shoppers can register directly with Stafford County for opportunities to participate in the County’s Shop Small Stafford program, including prizes and giveaways.
Our Shop Small Market is a separate marketplace event, but we’re proud to help encourage our community to shop small and discover locally owned businesses throughout Stafford County.
